Voice

 

Ruby teaches voice at Semitone. She a Scottish soprano, primarily trained in classical singing but with experience in other genres such as pop and musical theatre. As a 'Joint Course' student, she recently graduated from the RNCM with an Upper Diploma and from the University of Manchester with first-class honours. In 2023, she was a winner of the University's concerto competition and performed Gliere's Concerto for Coloratura Soprano with their Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with many choirs in Scotland and Manchester, and was a Diocese of Manchester Choral Scholar this year. Her choral engagements include performances at the Edinburgh International Festival and BBC Proms. She cares deeply about the value of music in outreach and regularly works with local hospitals and care-homes.
