Mike Lawetto

Mike Lawetto teaches songwriting, music production, mixing and mastering, and bass guitar (up to intermediate) at Semitone.

Mike is a singer-songwriter, producer, mix and mastering engineer. Recently he mixed and mastered both albums from Semitone's own Taylor Giacoma and Olivia Broadfield’s soundtrack for the BBC show The Split Season 3.

Throughout his career he’s worked with various musicians/bands including Russel Lissack (Bloc Party), Joel Pott (Athlete), Ghostpoet (Mercury Nominated Artist), Amongst Wolves, The Kingdom Choir & Declan Bennett (Point Break) to name a few. Mike specialises in fitting in wherever is needed, whether that be at the beginning to help get a song finished, to providing and producing full instrumentation, to recording instruments and live performance’s including remote recordings, to getting a song radio/streaming ready by mixing and mastering it.
