All welcome.

Darren is a rare songwriting talent and performer of classic songs, as entertaining as he is inspirational. Delivering many a poetic anthem and cutting edge love song, he has appeared at prestigious theatres and festivals across the UK, both in his own right and opening up the show for artistes as diverse as Wishbone Ash, John Cooper Clarke, Eddi Reader, Steve Coogan and Fisherman's Friends.

A resident host and performer at Scotland's Belladrum Tartan Heart, Darren runs a number of community singing groups, is a youth worker, special needs teacher and project manager for Stockport Music Project (11-16's).

"Darren is one of the most infectiously good natured performers I've seen in 35 years in the business" - Henry Normal (Baby Cow Productions / Bafta Award winning writer, producer, poet and comedian)

"memorable ... rabble rousing ... excellent"
- Acoustic Magazine

"Make no mistake, this is a man who is passionate about peace and social justice; he just also happens to have an excellent sense of humour and an engaging stage presence."
- Fred Rolland, Buxton Festival Fringe

"Darren is that rare breed of musician who believes supporting the scene is as important as developing his talent. An infectious personality, prodigious talent and a wonderful compere."
- Rob Ellen (Belladrum Tartan Heart)
